It is an honor and a privilege to run for the position of House member of the United States congressional district in Texas, 21st district. I am a new breed Thomas Jeffersonian conservative, and I will fight for the cause of liberty for the taxpayers and constituents of this district.
As a native San AntonioIan, My twin brother and I were ecstatic to be the first ball boys for the San Antonio Spurs, during the ABA and early NBA days.
I have spent many years in the oil and gas industry. After attending the University of Texas – Austin. Working as a petroleum landman, acquiring tens of thousands of oil & gas leasehold Across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Utah, and other states in our union.
Our government has grown exponentially, taxes remain excessive, and the increase of incomprehensible regulation continues. Wars are constant and pursued without congressional declaration of war. Deficits are rising to the sky, poverty is rampant and dependency on the federal government is now worse than at any time in our nation’s history.
Government needs to shrink in size and in scope, reduce spending, change the monetary system, and reject the unsustainable cost of policing the world.
A national sales tax and or a flat tax on individuals and corporations should be seriously considered. If fortunate, I’ll introduce a balanced budget amendment my first day in Congress. I’ll never vote for legislation, with exception of dire circumstances, which increases our collective debt, which is approaching an unbelievable $20 trillion.
I plan to also introduce legislation that eliminates the departments of Commerce, Education and Energy. I’m fairly certain you won’t even notice they’re not with us anymore after their demise.
I see the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms as a fundamental freedom. I will not support any proposed gun control legislation which would limit the right to gun ownership by those who are responsible, law abiding citizens.
I can't win this race without your help. Flyering, word-of-mouth, and donating are all ways of helping us achieve our goals together.
I look forward to discussing with all of you in this congressional district these proposals as well as other issues on our collective minds.
All the best,
S. Foster Hagen
